If you live in a cold climate and you have to worry about your outdoor faucet freezing. If you live on a farm because you have to be able to get water to all of your animals and if your faucet keeps freezing you will not be able to get water to them. The newest invention is called the faucet sock which allows you to cover the entire faucet during these colder months so that it does not freeze. So keep your water at or above 32° so that your livestock and get a drink of water any time they want. It will be a big pain for you to start caring 5 gallon buckets of water out to them especially if you are on a farm that has 20 or more head. You’ll be giving them water all day every day until your water unfreezes. If you’re running a farm you do not have time keep doing this every day so you want to make sure that all of your faucets are in proper working order and for that you need the faucet sock.
